UCSI University is listed as one of the institutions for KPM Bursary offering Cambridge A-Levels. 

How to Apply?

  • Go to KPM website (http://bursaryspm.moe.gov.my )
  • Key in IC No. and SPM Candidate No.
  • Make verification – “terima / tolak”.
  • Print out “Slip Tawaran Sementara”.
  • Bring it here to UCSI.
  • UCSI issues a Letter of Offer.
  • Go back to KPM website and update the “Maklumat Pelajar, Maklumat Waris dan Maklumat Institusi Persediaan”.
  • Offer letter from KPM will be released from 1st of July 2015 onwards.

Requirements for Sponsorship

  • Academic performance of 9A+ and above in the SPM 2014 examination.
  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Below 18 years old (19 years old for students from Remove Classes).
  • Has a valid bank account.
  • Study in one of the KPM-listed local institutions.
  • UCSI is listed as one of the institutions offering Cambridge A-Levels.

What does KPM Bursary Award Offer at Pre-U Level

  • Tuition fees for 3 A-Level subjects at UCSI
  • Accommodation fees up to RM500 per month
  • Monthly allowance of RM430 payable per semester (RM430 x 6 = RM2,580)
  • One return flight ticket for Sabah &Sarawak recipients for the duration of study

Number of A-Level Subjects and Exam Matters

  • For 2014 onwards, KPM will sponsor 3 subjects for A Levels
  • Students are supposed to pay for the extra subject if they take 4 subjects
  • At UCSI, the fourth subject will be sponsored by UCSI if the student chooses to take a fourth subject
  • Those who opt for the fourth subject will be required to join the student enrichment programme (a leadership programme for UCSI scholarship award recipients)
  • A KPM recipient must maintain a minimum B Grade for 3 subjects each semester
  • KPM scholars’ results will be submitted to KPM after each exam (semester exam, trial exam, final exam)
  • KPM scholars will be required to take the IELTS Exam while in second or third semester only.

Duration of Study

  • A-Level students at UCSI undergo 18 month of study
  • Sponsorship will commence after students have confirmed their online application and started their semester
